Resignation of Philippine Honorary Consulate Director of Operations Raymond Garrett

The Philippine Honorary Consulate regrets to inform the public that Raymond Garrett has announced his resignation as Director of Operations of the Consulate effective September 30, 2017. Raymond was instrumental in all aspects of setting up the Philippine Consulate in Dublin and its day to day services since it was first opened almost five years ago. As well as his more public role as Director of Operations, Raymond was the Assistance to Nationals Officer in the Consulate where he was on call 24 hours a day. He was also the key point of contact for all confidential emergency cases for Filipino nationals in distress handled by the Consulate.
The Philippine Consulate in Dublin will continue to operate as normal under the guidance and leadership of Consul Mark Congdon and the Consulate volunteers.
Raymond’s dedication to this role was second to none. We wish to thank him for volunteering his time and service, and most importantly, for all the great work he has done through the years. Raymond’s heartfelt commitment to his role and his contribution to the Filipino community will be sadly missed. We wish him every success in the future.
Mark Congdon
Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Ireland
